Racism! Seriously?

The week has been raging with all of the racist comments that have been in the news. But are these comments really racist? Harry Reid, senate majority leader, made a comment about Obama's victory in the elections for 2008. Reid voiced that the only reason Obama is popular, was because he is a "light skinned" African American with no negro dialect. The press dismissed this statement and Harry Reid himself as "racist". It seems as if politicians would think before they speak, but then again, shouldn't the press? This constant view of everything being racist is truly getting out of hand, and one day, we will plunge into a state of insanity and live once again as barbarians. While it may be crude to be racist, it is also uncivilized to falsely accuse someone or something of being racist. Personally, I think it's bizarre! Harry Reid's comment may have been slightly insulting, but true? Yes. Should he have said it? No, he should have kept it to himself. I may be a proud republican but I do believe that the President is our leader, and he deserves respect from his followers. But making Reid's comment this big of a deal was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Ridiculous! And then don't forget about James Cameron's popular new movie Avatar. Avatar has reached number two in the box office. Titanic, Cameron's most well known production is at number one. In Avatar the hero is a "white" man that saves the small civilization in the jungle. Apparently, because the hero was not of another race, this movie has been labeled racist! Crazy as it is, it's all true. People who have nothing better to do, sit at home and write off certain things as racist! For publicity, maybe? I think today, in modern day society, we are much too cautious about racism. We are constantly watching, and waiting for someone to make a racist comment about the Blacks, Asians, or Mexicans. It's absolutely inappropriate. Harry Reid isn't racist, and neither is Avatar! The unnecessary racist accusations should be exterminated. Rumors do nothing for you! Maybe, some of us can learn how to become sophisticated human beings and not throw racist accusations towards the truth!

It's Time for a Change...a Confusing one.

There are so many things in life that can hold a person back. For me, there is only one that appears evident to me. The fear of striking out. And when ever I experience this, life only becomes more and more confusing. Eventually, the time for a change will come.
While all of these things are plundering through my mind, I can only come to one conclusion; life is so confusing! There isn't enough money in the world that someone can offer to ease my confusion and life complications. It is "simply" confusing. And while it is complex, for once I plan to offer advice to overcome confusing, complex situations in my post.

Step 1 of getting through a complicated, confusing situation is to think it through only once! Thinking it through, going over it inside your head, reviewing the situation constantly only causes more confusion. It's the first step in getting out of the bundle of hay that's suffocating you, and causing you to hallucinate. Think it through ONLY ONCE, and you are one step closer to solving your confusing problem. Slowly go over the events in your head, review your feelings, and thoughts about the circumstance. Pay close attention to details as well!

Step 2 is to release your feelings. If you want to cry, then cry. If you want to scream, then scream. Take a deep breath and just let it all out. Clear your mind of the burden and tell yourself that it no longer matters. It takes bravery and courage to emotionally move on from a confusing situation, and releasing your feelings is a healthy way to implement that next step.

Step 3 is the most important step of them all. Do something you love! If it's taking a walk with the dog then grab the leash and be on your way. If it's spending time with family then order out for pizza and pop in a family friendly DVD (personally I like Marley and Me). And if you just want to take some time off from people for the moment, then run down to the Fresh Market for some sushi, and come home and read a book. Whatever you need should be available to you, but appropriate as well. This step will take your mind off of the stress and workload of confusing unfortunate events. It allows you time to heal yourself, and become whole, and fulfilled once again. It also gets you back into daily activities other than lying in bed all day worrying about what may become of your situation. Relaxation, only more vigorous, is the key!

While I have tried to sooth your endless confusion that you encounter in your everyday life, I alone can never do so. Your own personal effort is needed to solve your problems, and find a solution to complex circumstances. Find yourself, and think less of your confusing situations! It's hard moving forward, but sometimes, when life catches up to you, you're forced to stumble upon new mistakes, and of course, more confusion. Don't be afraid of the future, for it is the key to reality! Live free today, and more tomorrow, and there will never be a doubt in mind!

Obsessive Blogger? We can help!

Long ago a man came into this world; thus creating the idea of a "Blog"! While his idea was magnificent in the eyes of the world's current "obsessive" bloggers, to others "cough cough me cough cough" I'm sure it sounded quite silly! Yes, I said it. I used to think that having a blog was a ridiculous waste of time. Although over a certain period of time, I adjusted to the idea and feel of having a blog, I used to crack jokes about them continuously. It's still somewhat hazy to me on why I began to want a blog, but now evident on why anyone would want a blog. The first reason somebody would want a blog, is so they could write about their problems on the Internet and express their feelings and emotions through the wonderful thing we know as the "Internet". These kind of people are most likely very dramatic, and somewhat insane. Notice I said "somewhat" not "completely", but "somewhat". The second reason anyone would want a blog is because they're lonely. They think cyberspace is their friend and they are more than pleased that it will now allow you to publicly post your current events as if you were really talking to someone out there on the net. And last but not least people have way too much time on your hands.

  • Do you constantly find yourself blogging on the go?

  • Do you itch to blog while you're trying to fall asleep at night?

  • If something big or dramatic were to happen would you feel urged to blog about it?

If you answered "yes" to these questions then you are this type of blogger. Your personality is a perfect fit for addiction. You may be or may become what is called a "Blog addict"! Let me tell you now, Seek Help While You can!!!! It's always the best policy for addictive bloggers.

I understand how you feel right now. You have just been classified into an assortment of extremely unique blogging personality group. While you may feel like I am prejudice to your blogging urges and needs, I am simply informing you. An interesting project of mine. Other kinds of bloggers might fall into categories that should seem separated from the three I listed above, but as each group branches out to cover one-third of my worded blogging pie chart, you must fall somewhere in between the fine little white lines that nobody ever cares to notice.

I can recall a memory at the beginning of the school year. I was in my 4th period newspaper class while my enthusiastic teacher Mrs. G explained what we'd be doing in her class this semester as freshman. "Do we have any bloggers in here?" She asked the class. At the time, I had had a blog, but I didn't care to raise my hand and be the odd one out. The sheep in a pack of wolves. The red one in a sea of blue. I shrugged and ducked down in my seat. My two friends Amy and Mariah ah glanced at each other. Suddenly we were caught up in a conversation of giggles, and the blossoming idea to start a "Headache Blog". The thought was raw, but had potential. Our Headache Blog lies dormant in our bright young prosperous minds, just waiting to be brought to life by the wonders of the Net. Yes yes, the idea was a joke, but one that I've always considered... Should I create this blog? Should I not? How would I manage both? How can I even blog about headaches if I don't get them that often?

All questions have been considered although only half listed. It's still pending in my thought processes, and quite frankly I might even be confused about it. Other than that, all has been good and clear. No elaborations and details needed, just me, myself, and I having a spirited debate about how life is so confusing...

Life is NOT always so Confusing

"Dead as a doornail" I cry. "It's over, and we're through..."

Yes some things in life are more than just confusing. When you don't know what to look foward to, when you're not sure who to trust, when you can't understand why things happen the way they do. Okay, so me and my former "boy toy" broke up, for good this time. Yeah, it was a sad, somewhat morbid story in my mind at first, but after a few days, I was over it for good as well. Why we broke up? You don't need to know that part...it's just too confusing. Well, now that me and "cough cough" broke up, I have moved on to bigger and better things in life. Since I'm just a mere freshman in high school, I have an entire future life ahead of me. So many things to experience; sky diving, bungee jumping, driving, and of course better high tech blogging! So lately I've been researching colleges. As an honor student, athlete, and college level musician, I've set my expectations high...Columbia University in the heart of New York City. Yes, I know that's shooting for the stars, but it's something to look forward to, a goal to set and hopefully later achieve. Well today my agenda is pretty much booked up, but that's not a bad thing in my world. I like to stay busy, and I am completely aware that you all are probably thinking "Oh she just likes to stay busy because she needs a rebound, she's got to have something to take her mind of 'heartbreak'" But no, you are completely wrong! I like to stay busy for the fun of it, Violin, orchestra, studies, tennis and super abs workouts...well I like it all and it's being involved and doing something in life that shapes you as a person, and not just physically. Ha ha, well I've got to go for a jog before the parentals wake up to take me to tennis...remember, life isn't always so confusing...

10 Reasons: Not to date a T-Rex

Okay I found this super funny bit on the Internet about 10 reasons NOT to date a T-Rex! So...I decided to post it on here and make ya smile for the day! I know it has nothin' to do with confusion...but it's funny so here ya go!

10 reasons NOT to date a T-Rex

1) Tiresome Dinner Suggestions
Human: "what shall we eat tonight darling?"
T-Rex: "Hmmmmggggg Carcass!"

2)You can NOT hold hands!

3) As a couple your photo won't look so good with part of your arm in your partner's jagged teeth, and your body spewing blood every where in the photo booth!

4) T-Rex's always win the best costume at a halloween party.

5) Your partner may be tempted to bite you!

6)Picnics in the park are OUT
Park Padestrians: "OMG a T-Rex! Flee for your lives!"

7) Stargazing is OUT
T-Rex: "OMG an astroid! Flee for your lives!"

8) Surprise Parties will ALWAYS be given away
Birthday boy (coming home one night): "OMG! Why is there a head of a T-Rex protruding from to roof!"

9) Kissing will be more than just slightly awkward with your entire head in the T-Rex's mouth, trapped by its dangerously sharp teeth! (plus, you can't both fit into one bed!)

10) Communicating will be difficult...
Human: "I just need to know you love me!" (sobs)
T-Rex: "ROAAAAAAAARRRR! HRNNNGGGGG! RAAAAARRRRGGGGG!"

and those are 10 reasons why no man, no woman, should ever ever in their right mind date a Tyrannosaurus Rex!

My Current Confusing Long Typical Story

You have all read those blogs where overweight women babble on and on about their relationships that are just completely down the drain? And what about these women who ramble endlessly about their unsuccessful weight loss, while they sit at the computer all day with a box of Twinkies in front of them blogging about how they just got fired from their job at Bojangles? They get themselves no where in life, and when they're not blogging about their miserable lives, they're logged in on facebook as a single 25 year old super model who lives in the Bronx looking for a date on Friday night! We all know these obsessive fans of blogging, but what better way to waste your time than to write about your life in an uncoordinated way such as blogging? I started my Blog "Life is Confusing" as a steadfast way to keep my mind off of my indecisive ex who's answer is still pending. I know the idea sounds lame, but so far it's been flooding my mind with ideas of stories and great ways to express myself in a healthy ethical way. So we met in kindergarten, but I never really looked at him or noticed him. Moving on to middle school, I never took much notice to him either until around the 8th grade. It was time for the traditional 8th grade dance. He played the bass and the violin and I played the violin in the orchestra. I wanted to ask him to the dance for a date, nothing special, or serious, just a date...someone to go with. I asked my friend Sammie. Her response was not exactly supportive. "No way, he has no personality!" So I quickly moved on to the next guy . Turns out, one day at church, while I was outside by the river, I got a text message from him. "Hey this is Chase..." I replied casually. I didn't like him really and I wasn't crushing on him or anything. He was just a "casual" friend texting me. So we talked, and later that day he asked me out. I had to think about it a little only because I had a major crush on an older man who happened to be my 7th grade English teacher... But I ended up saying yes, it was the very end of 8th grade and I wanted a boyfriend, so we started dating. We vacationed to Myrtle Beach together. It was the best summer romance I could've imagined. Being drowned into the salty essence that evaporated off the surface of the ocean. He had dinner at the beach house we were staying at, and I went over to his camper earlier that week. It was amazing. Returning back to our small hometown Mills River, NC we visited each other frequently. One day I went over to his house. Still being summer it was hot outside, therefor we settled for a Harry Potter movie at his place. We went to his room later, hoping his brother wouldn't come in and bother us, so we just sat on his bed and talked. We had not kissed yet, although I hoped we would. At the beach we'd held hands and he put his arm around me, but never a kiss. He was a really great guy, and he came from a wealthy family, a nice one at that, and we just felt like we were meant for each other. I leaned my forehead against his, and he came in closer. Finally he jumped for it. My lips met his and I saw sparks fly through with the stars that lingered in the sky. It was amazing and I truly cared for him. The kiss was long and passionate, but not long after, we started to fade. A few weeks after the kiss we broke up, and a few weeks later we started school again and saw one another once more. He was in two of my classes, and I saw him every day. So after a while I asked him out again and he said yes. But then the next day he said he wasn't ready to have a girlfriend because he was confused about some things in his life. He said when he figured out some things that had been "going on with him" he would let me know. Then just last Sunday, he said he was really actually ready this time to go out again, and then on Monday he said he was just struggling with too many things and having a girlfriend just made it more difficult and "confusing". So until he gets his life straightened out I have created this blog for me to waste my time waiting for him to sort things out. There for, for all of you "Confused" people in the world, I have created a blog to end your constant wonders and questioning! Hopefully you'll figure things out in time to catch that pretty girl or handsome guy that might be half way out the door! That's my story...the story...life's confusing, long, and detailed story...
